The Christian Family

What makes a Christian Family? To answer the question we must examine the two words used: “Christian” and “Family”.

The word “Christian” means to be Christlike¬† or a person that has a personal relationship with Christ and exhibits His Characteristics in their life.¬† The word “Christian” is first found in the Bible in

Acts 11:26

“And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.”

The Believers here were call Christians because their lives exhibited Christ.

The word “Family” means a household¬† or Home consisting of Parents and Children (or sometimes other family members) living together.

When we add the two together “Christian Family” we understand that the home is now identified with Christ and should exhibit His Characteristics in the Home.

The Challenge here would be to ask yourself as Parents does our home exhibit Christ or is there changes that are needed to be made?

1 Corinthians 10:31

“Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.”
